Shoes worn with tuxedos tend to be simple and polished to a gleaming shine. They should have no extensive decorations or designs. Typically, dress shoes worn with tuxedos are made out of plain patent leather. If you're a sneakers kind of guy, then you probably don't want to spend the money buying a good pair of patent leather shoes you'll never wear again. The good news is that you can rent shoes to go with your wedding tux. Reputable rental stores will make sure all shoes are clean and in good condition. But if you're concerned about foot hygiene, you're going to have to buckle down and invest in the money for your own pair of shoes. Wedding tux rental shops may sell shoes as well as rent them. If they don't sell shoes, they can direct you to wear you can buy a pair and what style you should buy.
Cufflinks hold the cuffs or your dress shirt together. You can rent these as well, but you may want to personalize your wedding tux by purchasing a pair for yourself. They're also a great thank-you gift for your groomsmen.

Your sock choice is important too. While a few places will allow to rent socks with your wedding tux rental, most do not. But this is fine because socks aren't that expensive. Don't get fancy with your socks. You want them to blend with your tuxedo so invest in a simple black formal sock. Don't skimp on the fabric and choose something you know you're going to be comfortable wearing for several hours of posing, standing, walking and dancing. Some places that rent formal attire will also sell socks so you don't need to make an extra trip to complete the look of your wedding tux.
