Hygienic hands are one of the best preventative measures you take to avoid catching a cold.
If you touch your nose and your hands are not clean you increase the chances of catching a cold Period.
Cold viruses can live on door handles toilet handles and a number of other places for hours, so make sure you wash regularly.
2. Watch your eyes
Cold viruses can get into system as easily through your eyes as your nose.
Try to avoid touching them unless your hands are clean.
Cold particles can stay suspended in the air for hours, so try and avoid places where you know someone as a cold, unless you want to wear goggles!
3. Boost your immune system alter your diet
Get extra, vitamin C and B complex as the weather turns colder.
Papaya and zinc are not so well known as prevention against colds but there both great.
Zinc is essential for a healthy immune system and so is papaya another food you should also consider.
4. Boost your immune system with
Adequate rest and some moderate exercise. You will strengthen your immune system even more.
The immune system is complex and relies on overall wellbeing for it to function effectively and moderate exercise a ( brisk walk 30 minutes 4 times a week will do) and a regular sleeping pattern will definitely help.
Your immune system will fight off a while range of illnesses and diseases if it is working well and that includes colds.
5. Echinacea
Known again for boosting the immune system. Tests show that it contains echinacoside, an ingredient that HAS antibiotic effects.
Another ingredient, echinacein, is seen as a preventative property to stop infectious viruses such as colds. A great all round immune system booster.
The key to prevention
Is hygiene diet and getting adequate moderate exercise and rest, so you can avoid viruses and fight them if you come into contact with them.
