In my never ending quest in search of perfect skin, i stumble upon a japanese skincare range online called komenuka bijin. The range uses pure and concentrated amounts of sake derived from rice bran and claims to address a variety of skin conditions.i decided to do some research before pouring more money down the drain on products that fail to deliver as promised. Here's what i found.
Thousands of years ago, a Japanese monk noted that the hands of elderly workers who worked in a sake producing factory remained young and ageless compare to their lined and wrinkled faces.Rice bran has since been used in japan and china as clensers and general skin care purposes due to their excellent moisturising properties, rich concentrations of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Professor of Kamula of the Dermatology Department of Japan Medical School reported in diagnosis and medication, 'rice bran can treat skin disorders such as chronic itch, allergies, dandruff, eczema and other skin problems'.
Armed with this information i politely requested for some samples which arrived promptly the next day and very generous too. My samples included the treatment shampoo and conditioner, cleansing foam, lightening serum and moisturiser.
I tried the shampoo and conditioner first and can only say wow! after just one treatment, my hair felt luxuriously soft and manageable with lots of body and bounce. This is too good to be true i thought and proceeded with the other products.
The foaming cleansing cream provides a rich foam and really leaves my face feeling really clean without drying out my skin. Plus i only needed a pea size to do the job. Next, i tried the lightening serum followed by the moisturiser and went off to bed expecting to wake up with spots on my face which cannot tolerate most moisturisers.
To my amazement, i woke up spot free and my skin actually looked much calmer. The samples lasted for five days, at the end of which i can honestly say i'm really impressed. for starters, the oil production on my face had reduced to zero, gone were the small anoying bumps on my chin which had been lurking for weeks. Best of all my make up stayed on all day and my skin had a really nice glow to it that i recieved many compliments.
I have tried so many skincare products from the high end to the lower end price range and i can honestly say it does exactly what it says on the tin. You won't believe it!!
It was good enough for liv tyler and it's certainly good enough for me.
