With a travel credit card, you'll usually get one point per dollar regardless of the money you spend or where you spend it because it has no affiliation with the airline company.

You'll find in the long run that these credit cards work for any type of traveler. If you're a first time applier to the credit card, you'll usually find out that the airline company will give you enough points to claim a free airline ticket.
