People say that you look for gaps when entering into an Indian road. Bad ah! Or is it that the concept is hard to follow. In any case, the gist of it would sound that there aint any place within the traffic for you to slide past your neighbor's vehicle....congestion on the road would rather make you jump from gap to gap. That's the road in our capital and that's the story of all major roads. This would further mean that the rest of the country which is maintained in a worse shape than the capital shall reflect the fact that traffic rules in India are but myths waiting to bud into reality.
Ultimately the question is as to how safe you are on a road in India. Road safety in India here becomes a priority than the next major elections. Indian roads at the time of elections are a story in itself but at a different venue and at a different time I shall come back to it. I shall loom around as the ultimate guide for the curious onlookers who gape at traffic signs in India and who pray hard that they ought to learn a technique in an Indian driving school to understand the roads and to feel the effect.
Develop a Passion to Drive
That aint an exaggeration, road safety in India would have many dimensions. One obviously would be to keep your eyes wide open and look out for the imminent danger at the crossings, in the pavements and even while steeping out of the shop. The second is to learn the art of driving. I believe that you guys need to ponder over the idea.....imagine Indian highways to turn out to be a pleasure hunt, Imagine the traffic authorities in India melting in front of the needy, if that has to go past your mere imaginations, driving in India has to mature to the level to be inclusive of road safety in the country. It's a fertile pasture where more can be experimented, it's a dry green earth where much has happened and it's a perfect place where your potential could wear out the incumbent authority's idiosyncrasies.
I want the people to hunt what they can so that the moral of the story that is known can be strengthened. I would love the driving conditions in India to improve and the rest of you to take high on your wheels, without fear on a voyage through this wondrous land.
