You plan on having a child one day. but you have made the wise decision to wait for the right time in your life to have your child. As the voice of experience. I can tell you that it is smart to wait until after you have established your career. (I am talking about after you have found the love of your life and married him. of course.) Once your education is done. and your career is on its way is a great time to start a family. But don't wait too long. If you keep putting off this decision. you will be too old to enjoy watching your children grow up.

But now that the decision to have a baby has been made. and the time has come. the first thing you have to think about is decorating your baby's room. It is very exciting to be waiting for a baby. And part of this excitement is getting everything ready for this new gift. Have you thought about how you want to decorate the room? Most women have a basic idea of how they would like the room to look. and these ideas grow as the day gets closer. There are so many exciting decisions to make. First. the color of the room. Traditionally. if you are expecting a boy. you will decorate in blue. and if you are expecting a girl. you will paint the room pink. I had a different idea about this. I decided that. even though I was having a girl. I would decorate in a rainbow of color. I wanted her to be stimulated by all of the bright colors of the rainbow right there in her room. I thought that would be such a wonderful experience for a baby to have. laying in a crib and seeing a kaleidoscope of colors.

Since we are on the subject of cribs. I'd like to tell you my crib story. My mother was so excited when she found out she was going to be a grandmother. she immediately bought one of the best cribs made. a beautiful oak sleigh crib. It weighed a ton. and I had to get it up the stairs and put it together. It was a backbreaking job. but luckily it is a job done with love. And getting it together was no picnic. either. Be prepared. expectant fathers! But once it was assembled. I could not believe how beautiful it was.

I like this old fashioned look. but if you want a more contemporary look. you can find plenty of ideas for that.
