The most popular ppc engine is probably going to be Google Adwords. Almost everyone has heard of this product. You have also probably heard that it is complicated and hard to use, not true once you know the basics. Google Adwords is only one such ppc advertising resource there are many others such as; Yahoo search marketing, MSN adcenter, 7 search, and goclicks. These are some of the better alternatives to Google Adwords. You probably want to know how you can earn money using PPC Adverting, right.
You can set up ppc campaigns pretty easily and quickly with just a little basic knowledge. The most important thing to remember is to write a great ad. Let's cover what a great ad might be.
You title of your ad needs to have your keywords in there so you can target your customers a little more easily. First you need to have a product to sell, let's use Google Cash for an example. Your title needs to grab the attention of your surfer so they will want to click on your ad. Since you will have a lot of competition you want your ad to be unique. You could just have your title say: Google Cash, but that isn't really going to catch anyone's attention. Here is one you could try: "Google Cash Secrets". Now that is going to catch someone's eye. The next thing you want to do is to write a catchy little description such as:
- Find out the all the secrets.
- Shocking secrets on google cash.
- Free Shocking Review!
Ad writing takes some time to learn but, anyone can learn to write a great ad. Just go to Google and search on anything and on the right hand side of the screen are the adwords. Look at how they are stated, and structured. Having a good ad is the most important part of PPC. You want people to click on your ad to drive tons of traffic to your website. The more traffic the more sales.
The second item you want to be aware of if costs per click. This is the amount of money you have specified you are willing to pay when someone clicks on your ad. This cost can range anywhere from 0.05 to 1.00. You want to try and stay with in 0.05 and 0.45. You can accomplish this if you look hard for keywords that not everyone is bidding on. I understand that most people want to bid on the trade name etc... But you can find super great keywords that will bet you the same results if you just brainstorm a little bit. One way to do this is to read your merchants sales page. You can pick up nice little gems that way. Use a keyword tool like adwords analyzer that will build your keyword list for you.
One big mistake that most newbies make when they first start a PPC campaign is to pay to much for keywords. Set a limit on how much you are willing to bid and stick to it. You want to make a profit so the less you spend per click and if your page converts well you will make a profit. The average conversion rate is about 2%. So if you get 100 clicks you should have 2 sales. Let's say you make $50.00 a sale and you are spending 0.20 a click you would have spent $20.00 to make $100.00 you have a net profit of $80.00. This is what you want to do over and over.
Another mistake that most newbies make is sending your surfer straight to the affiliate page. You should (if you can) send them to a landing presell page. You want to warm them up to your offer first before getting to their wallet. This should help your conversion rate a ton.
