One of the reasons why the Internet has been so good for Forex investors is because it has provided easier to access tools that were previously difficult to acquire. However, we have yet to see a free Forex trading program that investors can download. What one can currently download from the Internet are demo Forex trading programs, in which only play money is used, and currency exchange programs. Both are useful tools for developing a trading strategy.
Paying Before Playing
You do need some sort of download program for forex investors in order to do the actual buying and selling of foreign currencies. You have to pay for this.
Since the foreign exchange rates are constantly changing, you'll want to stay up to date. Luckily, Forex is lucrative. The price you pay for a program will soon be made up by the profit you make from your trades.
Through the power of the Internet, investors are able to conduct trades virtually any time they want to since the Forex markets are open 24 hours a day, five days a week. Having to pay for being connected electronically to the world's biggest Forex markets shouldn't be a gripe. After all, investors save money on other aspects of Forex trading, such as the absence of broker commissions.
No File Sharing!
If you use a P2P (peer to peer) network, even if it is for topics that have nothing to do with money, you will be inundated with offers for free download programs for forex investors. It may be an offer of a free program or a pirated program. This is called file-sharing and, in this case, can cost you far more than a program.
P2P networks are tools that identity thieves find easy to use since they lack the security measures found on traditional website servers. Everyone can share information by uploading and downloading data on a P2P network; this is why it is often network of choice for chat rooms, Usenet, and support group meetings.
Besides the legal risks involved, pirated software is also a risk to your computer. Many programs contain viruses or spyware. Imagine downloading what you believe to be a regular program, only to find that it has deleted or corrupted important files on your computer.
Or a keystroke capture virus could log all of your passwords and send the information to the virus's creator. Your bank accounts and very identity could be compromised.
Pay for your Forex programs. Free software might sound tempting, but it could cost you big in the long run.
