A puppy is usually a frisky bundle of energy and enthusiasm that can frustrate you if it is unchanneled. A puppy's exuberance for adventure needs to be streamlined to ensure that it does not cause harm to itself or to any family member in the house. Training your dog instills in it a sense of discipline and mannerisms.
House training methods vary from dog owner to dog owner. Some dog owners train their puppies using paper towels or tissues. You can train your dog using a litter box.
There is a great deal of difference between a reward and a reward marker. A reward is the treat that is given to a dog to encourage desired behavior while a reward marker is the command that let's the dog know that it has just earned a reward.
Herding dogs are born with the instinct to herd. Herding dogs are usually used in farms and the countryside to herd cattle or sheep. Basically most owners of herding dogs use audible command tools to train their dogs because of the nature of the herding job.
Make sure that your dog understands your language clearly. Don't praise it for a particular act and then scold it for doing the same thing later on or you will confuse it. Remember that a dog learns by associating or linking things and be careful about how you act in front of your dog.
Guard dogs are trained to switch on their protective instincts at will. A command from you can put a guard dog on the defensive. In the same vein, one command from you can put a guard dog on relax mode which means it doesn't attack strangers.
Taking care of a dog involves giving it love, care, food?and training. Without training, a dog is liable not to recognize its limits and may actually end up taking you for granted. A safe and secure environment for your dog will ensure that it is trained successfully.
Dog training starts first with your ability to get and hold your dog's attention. A dog that is unable to pay attention will make a poor candidate for training. Make sure that you have your dog's full attention before you issue out any command.
