Dry skin can occur from factors such as the weather, your job, your house, a natural born trait, or a side effect of getting too much sun. It can be a real pain, and it can be very irritating because you itch all the time. A lot of people have dry skin can have it anywhere on their body: their hands, legs, feet, and even their lips. It can make you bleed if you scratch it too much, cause fine lines on your face, and can spread to the whole body if not cared for correctly.
When the weather starts to get cold your skin will get dry and flaky, and it can make you break out on your arms. Your lips will crack, and you will itch like mad. It is hard to stop itching when it gets like this because you have hardly have any moisture in your skin. You have to take a warm bath and then you need to put lotion on your body so you can keep it moisturized.
Your job can give you dry skin if you work with any kind of powders and rubbing alcohol. Powder can get in your skin and block your pores and can make you break out really bad. It can also take the moisture right out of your body. Alcohol will make your skin dry out, and it will make you itch a lot, causing you to bleed. They both dry out your nose and your eyes, and it will make them irritated.
If your house is too dry due to the heater, it can make your nose bleed because it can dry out the inside of it. It does not matter if you use propane or a heater. If you want to keep this from happening, you need to put a pan on the heater to the vent. If you have a humidifier, then that helps also. If you do not, then you can go get one so you don't have dry air in your home.
If you are born with it, then I know how you feel. All you can do is keep on putting lotion on your body so it can keep your skin moisturized to help ease the itchiness and dryness. Some people have really rough skin on their elbows and their kneecaps. There is nothing you can do about that to make it go away. The only thing you can do is put lotion on it to help it get smooth.
Too much sun can dry out your skin as well because overexposure to the sun's natural warmth will dry it out and also damage your skin. You need to wear sun block to protect it so it does not happen. You also need to put on lotion at night to help it stay moisturized.
