Some people are lucky and are born with naturally shiny hair. If you are not one of these people you will be looking for ways to add shine to your hair. Salons offer glossing treatments but these can be very expensive. The aim of this article is to show you how to give your hair a glossing treatment at home for a fraction of the costs.

Before you begin your glossing treatment it is really important to wash it thoroughly. You are best to use your normal daily shampoo and make sure your rinse properly. You will need to do this to ensure you have removed all of the styling products from your hair. This will also have the added benefit that it will help the glossing treatment to have the maximum effect possible.

You now need to mix up the glossing treatment. We would recommend using Clairol and you can mix the Clairol Professional Colour Gloss with the Radiance Colour Infuser in a small bottle. The amount you use will depend on the length of your hair but make sure you follow the instructions on the bottle. You need to ensure you mix up the 2 products properly so do this by giving your bottle a really good shake.

You now need to start applying the mixture to your hair. Start with the roots and then work down to the ends of your hair making sure you get an even coverage. Then put all your hair together on the top of your head and cover with a plastic cap. This will help to keep any of the mixture off your skin and clothes.

You need to let the mixture set on your hair. The best thing to do is to leave it for around 20 - 30 minutes. If you really want to relax you can sit in the bath while you allow it to set, this will make you feel really pampered and great when you have finished your treatment.

When you have left the treatment to set you need to rinse it out with warm water. At this stage you do not want to shampoo your hair again as this may strip out some of the benefits you get from the treatment and that is the last thing you want to do.

The treatment you are using is a hair colouring treatment and so you need to condition your hair after. We would recommend a deep conditioner that you leave on for around 30 minutes before you rinse off.

After you have rinsed off the conditioner style your hair in the usual way. You hair now will be luscious and shiny. You will be amazed at the results and you will impress all of your friends with your great new hair.

You should apply this treatment on a regular basis but not too often as you don't want to strip away the natural goodness of your hair. If you do it every 8 weeks or so you will maintain great shiny hair. Remember to take care of your hair in between uses as well. You should use a deep conditioner once a week to ensure you keep your hair in tip top condition and prolong the length of time that your treatment last for. Finally enjoy your new shiny hair.
