Drill And Practice Software
Gen Wright
It takes a lot to run a full-fledged dental practice. There are employees to handle, dental appointments to schedule, bills to collect, and more. Without a proper system in place, it is almost impossible to run a dental practice smoothly. For this reason, many dentists are looking for the ideal solution to streamline their operations and automate as many operational tasks as possible.
First, let's spend a little time discussing about the difficulties that come with sourcing for such a solution. In theory, it is very easy to say that a comprehensive software with all the necessary features will help solve all the problems. Question is, does such a software exist? What happens if such a solution has not yet been invented?
If a comprehensive solution is not available yet, a dentist will have to source for different solutions that will cater to his or her practice needs. For example, a dentist will have to buy billing software from one vendor, insurance software from another, and so on.
The problem with this approach is that it is almost impossible to integrate all the different types of software together. On top of that, many software solutions are not developed by practicing dentists. Hence, they do not have intimate knowledge of what a dental practice needs. This results in substandard software being produced.
Fortunately, there is no need to adopt this approach. A fully featured dental practice software has already been developed. Here are some of the key features.
Payment Ledger with Payment Entry
You can manage all your payments with this feature. From a well presented table, you can easily identify the amounts owed, and key in the payments. You can even enter items such as deductibles, checks, and write-offs.
Appointment & Revenue Scheduling
This is a customizable feature that you can use to organize your dental appointments. You can choose the information that you want to see (such as patient's name, age, etc.) and you can also see when a payment is due.
Manage Expected and Actual Revenue
Expected revenue is different from actual revenue. With this feature, you can easily tell how much revenue is expected to come in, and how much of this expected revenue is realized. You may then proceed to find out what causes this difference and take appropriate action.
So far, we have only listed some of the key features related to business aspects of the practice. From these key features alone, you can easily tell that they interact with one another to produce the necessary information. For instance, payment information is needed to calculate the expected and earned revenue.
For this reason, it is almost impossible to have software solutions that are not fully integrated. One software for invoicing, another software for staff payments, and yet another for operations, and so on. This approach simply doesn't work. And even if it does, it will affect the scalability of the dental practice. So always consider fully featured dental practice software that is comprehensive enough to cater to all your practice needs.
