In this our third instalment of thisseries, we are in Nottingham and I will be giving you some guidance on what tosee while there. Nottingham is a beautiful city, it really is and it is advisedto spend a couple of days there, because there is quite a bit to see! So relaxand unwind, stop stressing about your expiring policy thatyou have to renew as soon as you get home and drink in the wonderful atmospherethat Nottingham has to offer.
Your first stop surely has to be theGalleries of Justice. They provide afascinating insight into the crime and prosecution process throughout the ages.I am not the biggest fan of the judicial system and the processes it follows, but this was a great stop and I really did love it.
Secondly you want to go and have a look atNottingham Castle with its big statue of Robin Hood outside. On the inside youwill find a myriad of small passages that depict Nottingham through the ages, another very interesting place to visit. But after all this walking and being atourist, you have more than likely worked up a little thirst and possibly anappetite and where better to go and have lunch than at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem - The oldest inn in England established in 1189AD? The fare is great and the pints cold, watch you head though, the ceiling isa little on the low side.
So aftera nice lunch and a couple of pints why not head back to your hotel for a welldeserved night's rest? Or you could take in some of the legendary night lifeNottingham has to offer. Just remember to not drink and drive as getting caughtdrink driving will not only get you into trouble with the authorities butrenewing that policyafter being arrested will be more expensive because you will be deemed more ofa risk! So take care when on holiday!
