Real peace is achieved NOT by seeking peace but by seeking the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ ! It is a peace so deep that it comes only out of the Holy Spirit. It holds us strong and steady in the blasts of problems and troubles surrounding us. The Holy Spirit in us has abundance of peace for every situation. Christ will arise in us and minister to us in the face of any pressure, displaying His power and victory through us.
We cannot achieve peace outside of the parameters God has given us! These are the steps we can take to achieve real peace and joy in our lives :
1.Surrender our Lives to God
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
2.Total Trust In God
John 16:33 - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
3.Let the Holy Spirit Guide Us
Romans 8:5 - Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
4.Let God's Peace Prevail in Our Lives
Romans 5:1- Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
5.Sharing Our Faith Results in Joy
John 4:36 - Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
6.Hope and Confidence in God
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
7.Be United With One Another
1 Corinthians 1:10-17 - I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
8.Remove Bitterness In Our Lives
Ephesians 4:30-32. - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
