To Build A Windmill
R W Harris
Are you looking for ways to save money and get through this terrible economy? One solution you might not have thought of is generating your own electricity. At first, this might seem like a monumental task. However, a fairly easy way to accomplish this is to build your own windmill and let the wind generate electricity for you.
Building a windmill is economical and surprisingly simple to do if you actually have the proper instructions to build a windmill. There are a couple of very good manuals and video tutorials that I use that walk me through the process step by step. In fact, the instructions are so easy to follow they're "dummy proof"! Building a windmill makes for a fun project to do with the kids or even with your neighbors and only takes a weekend or two to complete.
There are several reasons to consider generating cheap energy in your own home. The first reason is that it saves you money on your electric bill. Obviously, as you generate more of your own power and use less electricity from your electric company, you should see a nice savings in your electric bill. Furthermore, if the power you generate exceeds what you use, you may be able to sell the excess power back to the electric company and make a profit! You would probably have to build more than one windmill to generate that much electricity, but after you build your first windmill, you'll be able to knock them out like a pro.
The second reason to consider generating power from home is its reliability. When you generate your own power, you control the power source. If you rely on your electric company to provide electricity, you are at the mercy of Mother Nature. How many times have you watched the news and seen bad thunderstorms batter houses, ice storms knock trees onto power lines, or forest fires destroy power poles or transformers? By generating your own energy, you can breathe easier knowing you have a reliable power source.
A third reason to consider generating power from home is its friendliness to the environment. Think about it—how much pollution does a windmill create? None! You are actually using planet earth to create your power in a natural way instead of emitting pollutants into the ground or the air. That means you are doing your part to clean up the environment!
A fourth reason you might want to generate your own electricity from home is the minimal cost. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars to make a windmill. You can usually build it for under $100 by purchasing some items at the local hardware store and using other items you already have around the house. It should be apparent that you'll be able to make back cost of the windmill fairly quickly!
If you're looking for a do it yourself project that will save you money and can be completed at home fairly easily, I would recommend building your own windmill. It's so simple to do, so fiscally responsible, and so environmentally friendly, you'll kick yourself for not doing this sooner!
