5) Make your home a “buy and move in." Many home buyers want to purchase a home that they can imagine themselves moving right into. In order to create the illusion, give your house an absolutely thorough cleaning and remove all clutter as well as all personal belongings. Your home should look roomy and slightly impersonal – so that buyers can imagine their knickknacks and possessions in the home. Make sure that you air out your home so that it smells fresh.
