Glamour, romance, heroism, sex, and adventure are very enchanting subjects; people always go with open arms for anything related to these. The young generation, especially, love to identify themselves with some famous heroes. They are readily attracted by anything reflecting the image of their idol, or reminds them of him of her.
Mark tee shirts, hankies, neckties, cuff links or the like, with the picture of Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe and people will flock to buy them.
Articles can also be made to reflect attractions of certain famous places, e.g. Disneyland. In Africa, some places are often related to the country's wild life - a major tourist attraction there. For example, Kichiwa Tembo, a famous tourist spot in Kenya, which means 'Elephant Head' in the local language.
Some businesses may relate their products to famous people or celebrities e.g. kings, queens, artists, writers, poets or ancient heroes. Others use certain anniversaries for timing the launch of new products e.g. birth of Shakespeare.
An important event, like the Christmas, and Independence Day Celebrations is a good opportunity for bringing out some innovating ideas involving toys, indoor games and other gifts which could sell like hot cakes. Some international sporting event like Soccer World Cup and Olympic Games are also offer fantastic opportunities to cash in on some products related to these events e.g. badges, playing cards, coffee mugs, tea shirts, decorative balloons, etc. In fact, small items under $5.00 sell quickly. For example, if you just manage to sell a cheap item, a say a metal badge costing a $1.00 with a $1.00 profit margin, to just a 5000 people attending a football match, you can pocket $5000.00, clear.
Many people make huge amounts of money from such events by selling food items, like hot-dog, sandwiches. etc. There are thus, hundreds of ways of making big money by popularising your products or services by relating them to something important or someone very close to the heart of the people, or an important event.
