For some reason in the dating world, men have this uncontrollable fear when it comes to approaching women. A really attractive woman seems to intimidate us and stop us in our tracks like nothing else! Why is that? Why do they seem to have this 'power' over us?

What if you knew exactly what NOT to say when you approach a woman so you won't be as nervous and INCREASE your chances with her dramatically! Well, here you go!

I have listed for you the 5 WORST things you could possibly say to a woman when you approach her or meet her. These are big 'no-no's' so pay attention.

5. Would you like to dance?

This is one of the most commonly used 'lines' by guys in a club or party scene. And while this has worked on occasion, it still isn't the best thing you could say right when you approach an attractive woman. Remember: she doesn't know you from Adam and she doesn't know what your intentions are. Try engaging her in some playful banter first before you decide to ask her to dance. These next four 'lines' are MUCH worse so listen up.

4. Can I buy you a drink?

Ahh, the classic 'pick-up line' in a bar or club... This one seems almost standard, doesn't it? And it IS standard. That's exactly why you should NEVER say it! It's so boring and without originality! You will come across as the same as every other average guy who's asked her that. And women hate AVERAGE guys. The last thing you want to do is put yourself into that category of being considered 'average'. You must avoid it like the plague! It would be a much better idea if you told a woman to buy YOU a drink for once!

3. Can I buy you dinner sometime?

Similar to the 'can i buy you a drink?' line... women have heard this one a million times! Now, I know that you just want to be nice and get to know her so you think a nice dinner out on the town will do the trick... But when a woman hears this line, they automatically think 'LOSER' and 'BORING'. Buying anything for a woman that you've just met is not a smart thing to do to begin with. Many women will consider your generous gestures as a form of MANIPULATION. They think your trying to 'buy' their affection with dinner and gifts instead of just being yourself and have them like you for your personality. So NEVER approach a woman and say this. PERIOD.

2. You're hot/beautiful.

I know what you're thinking... 'What's wrong with this one?' Right? Don't women like to be complimented? And women DO like compliments! But let me clue you in on a little secret about women that they will NEVER admit to... Many women FEED off of compliments! That's right! They love the 'power' that they get when every single guy they ever meet compliments them and tells them how beautiful they are or how amazing they are... etc. It makes them feel good, yes, but after you've complimented her, she got what she needed from you and she will just move on. But imagine now for a moment that after a thousand guys come up to her and compliment her, she's going to get used to it, right? All those guys will seem the same to her and will come off as 'AVERAGE'. And then after those thousand 'boring' and 'average' guys.. you approach her and say something totally off the wall and funny that's NOT a compliment; or even say something that MAKES FUN of her and TEASES her! Now, who do you think will stick out in her mind? Those thousand other guys... or YOU! Think about it.

1. I really like you.

The most DANGEROUS thing you could do when you first meet a woman is say 'I like you' or 'I have a strong feelings for you'. If you want to scare them away, then by all means say this line! Just like the compliment thing, guys say this to women all the time.. hoping that they will feel it too. And if you say this to an attractive woman you've just met, she will consider you as 'needy' and 'clingy' and just plain PATHETIC. So NEVER say this to a woman you've just met.. whether you mean it or not. And if you DO mean it, then wait till you've gotten to know her for a LONG time and are in a 'relationship' with her.
