It is 1Km from the Kodai Lake. A telescope set at the hill top gives a magnified view of the scenic beauty around.
Formerly called suicide point, the green valley view point is another tourist attraction. You can get a picturesque view of the hills and valleys around and the Vaigai Dam. Theres a steep drop of about 5000Ft below this point into a deep and dangerous valley, which gave it the name it had previously.
Kurinji Temple is the temple of Lord Muruga or God Kartik, the sun of Shiva. The temple got its name from a flower named Kurinji which grows in this region. The specialty of Kurinji flower is that it blossoms once in 12 years. There is a summer festival held in the month of May every year celebrated by thousands of locals and non-local people here.
The silver cascade falls is a favorite picnic spot even for the localites. It is 180Ft fall formed by the overflow of the Kodai Lake. It is a refreshing experience to take a bath in these falls.
One can enjoy the shopping of dried flowers, Kodai cheese, Home made chocoltes, variety of tea and coffee powder, jams and jellies made of the fruits grown in Kodaikanal. One must taste the red Radish unique to Kodaikanal.
