On December 31st, there will be parties all around the globe. Though any big city will have its share of glittery Champaign-fueled bashes, Las Vegas, as always, has the cream of the crop. This year, some of entertainment's biggest names will be on stage or mingling with partiers at various venues around Sin City. Here is a sample of what's going down on New Year's Eve in Vegas:
1. The Bank at the Bellagio will host R&B superstar Usher as part of its year end festivities. Champaign will flow freely, but if you want a table and a bottle of your own, the price jumps from $150 to more than $1,000 (two bottle Champaign minimum).
2. Rapper and country rocker Kid Rock will perform at the Playboy Club in the Palms. It will cost $200 to get in the door, but things will get going relatively early. Doors open at 8 p.m.
3. One of the most coveted ticket in town will be to the Fergie concert at Lavo in the Palazzo. It will set you back $250 at the door, but entry includes access to Tao, one of the hottest clubs in Vegas.
4. If pop stars aren't your thing, there are plenty of parties featuring other types of celebs. The LAX club at the Luxor will host a bash featuring appearances by trust-fund kids turned reality TV stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, while Pure at Caesar's Palace will be the party playground for pop-star couple Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson. No, Wentz's band, popular pop punk act Fall Out Boy won't be performing, so it is arguably not worth the $200 cover charge.
5. Old school rapper DMC and actress Denise Richards will be on hand at Plante Hollywood for what is bound to be one of the more interesting New Year's Even events.
