The last season of Grey's Anatomy featured George O'Malley walking down the aisle with fellow doctor Callie Torres. It also featured the same George in a drunken situation with Izzie Stevens, as the two had a one night stand. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that the two had feelings for each other. Izzie was then labeled a homewrecker, while George had his thoughts only on her. This season saw George leaving Callie for Izzie, but that isn't the happy end of the story. In fact, George and Izzie have been encountering some chemistry issues, and fans of Grey's Anatomy don't like it at all. Moreover, the actress behind Izzie is also contemplating on the relationship, saying that she does not like it at all.
Katherine Heigl has never been one to keep her mouth shut. She seems to enjoy speaking her mind, such as in the Isaiah Washington and T.R. Knight issue erupted months ago. She also corrected the announcer at the Emmys when her name was mispronounced. In a recent interview with US Weekly magazine, she said that she did not like her smash comedy hit movie, Knocked Up. She admitted, "It was hard for me to love the movie."
Heigl also said that it was "a little sexist." She reasoned out in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, "It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys."
As for her Grey's Anatomy character, she said that her character's recent pairing with George O'Malley was "a ratings ploy."
"It's our fourth season; there's not a lot of spontaneity left," Heigl said. Vanity Fair's issue with Heigl's interview will be releases on Wednesday on New York and Los Angeles and on December 11 for the rest of the country.
It is quite surprising that Heigl is expressing dislike for the two projects which catapulted her to stardom. Knocked Up earned over 2 millions dollars and became a hit with critics and viewers while her portrayal of Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy earned the actress her first Emmy award this year.
