One very important aspect of pool entertainment is pool toys. Pool toys take on a number of different shapes and sizes now and they have also gone through many technological changes. For instance, many pool toys and floats are now constructed out of a soft foam that means that they are essentially permanently inflated.
While these types of floats may cost a little bit more then conventional inflatable floating toys the trade off is that they have a much longer life span. Also they won't spring leaks and are always ready to go. If you are going to have very young children using the pool it is necessary that you have safety floats that strap onto them when they are in the water.
By choosing bright fun looking floats for the small children they will be more prone to want to use them rather then plain colored flotation devices. There are so many fun games that you can equip your pool with such as 'water basketball' and retrieval games that have sinking bright colored plastic devices that kids have to swim to the bottom of the pool to get and score points with.
Balls such as soccer balls and beach balls also are great fun in a pool. There are a number of floating lounge chairs that are available but the pool and the yard must be big enough to accommodate them. Also it is important to bear in mind that the pool toys have to be stored when they are not in use and a large net hanging against a wall out of the sun works great for this.
One thing to also bear in mind when shopping for pool toys is that you don't want to get any toys that are going to encourage children to run on the patio along side the pool as this will inevitable lead to falls.
