Things that you have to consider is if it is for a child, teen or adult and also if it is for a boy or a girl. If you are an adult in a home then you really do think of the whole home as your personal zone but for a child it is different.

Their bed room and their bed is their comfort zone and a place they can retreat to and call their own. One thing that many parents don't give consideration to is that a lot of girls can be tomboys when they are young and may not want frilly pink or 'classic girls'colors or designs. Many parents can be somewhat concerned when their young girl displays a liking for things that are generaly thought of as boys domain and attemt to force girlish behavior changes onto them.

Recent studies have shown that this type of tomboy behavior is perfectly normal and is not an indicator of their sexual orientation as adults. In layman's terms, tomboys don't grow up to be gay at a higher rate then any other girls. This means that if your daughter is a tomjboy you should indulge her and help her to enjoy her childhood while she has it and take this into account when you select her bedding design and colors.
