The anorectal problems and the anal skin tags are the two most associated terms. The anorectal problems will create the anal skin tags. An intense swelling from the external hemorrhoid, if left untreated, will create the anal skin tags. The successive anorectal insult or the injuries inside of the hemorrhoidal tab or a skin tab will create the anal skin tags.

If this problem will not be treated, the blood supply inside of the anal skin tags will give rise to the larger hemorrhoid. The rectal surgery of that swollen skin edges may also widen the chance of the skin tags.

Also known as the sentinel tag or the guard tags, the anal skin tags also impose the danger of the anal fistula or the anal fissures.

As a painless soft protrusion near the opening of the anus, the skin tags are giving pain when those soft pieces of flesh are rubbed by any action.
