Speeding Ticket In Court
Richard Gringer
How to beat a speeding ticket is a question many of us ask as soon as they are pulled over and issued one. The question I have for you is, when you were stopped and the officer came up to the window and asked you ?Do you know why you were pulled over?? Did you answer ?yes? and give an explanation or just simply answered ?no? took your ticket and drove away? Let's really hope you took the second option, told the officer you have no idea, accepted your ticket and drove away. Beat a speeding ticket is easy, but the first thing you must remember is to NEVER ADMIT YOU ARE GUILTY! As soon as you admit you are guilty, you pretty much have zero to a small chance to win in court.
Now let's assume you did not say anything to the officer as far as admitting your guilt, took your ticket, and drove away without an argument. That brings us to the point of going to court. You need to do everything in your power to delay going to court for your court date. The best advice is to STALL, STALL, and more STALL. The longer you wait, the more chance you have of the officer not showing up and remembering your court date. Now what's the best way to stall? Now must people would agree the best way to stall is to ask the judge for an extension on your court date. That is the easiest and most effective way. Now the judge will look down upon someone getting a speeding ticket and will caution them about the dangers of speeding. That's ok though, you can still win in court easily, even if the cop does show up.
The first thing you need to do is dress extremely nice. Dressing nice and not looking like a bum is one of the easiest and most crucial components of you winning your case.
The second thing you must do is act professional at all times and be respectful. If you go in front of the judge and answer everything with yes sir or yes ma'am IT WILL get you a long way. Judges demand respect and appreciate it, showing them respect is what they like and it will help you get out of your speeding ticket most definitely.
Another thing to do in court is to cross examine the police officer if she shows up. There are many cross examination questions out there but the best ones to ask him have to do with his memory of the scene. Now if you have done what you were supposed to by delaying the case, more chances than not the officer will not remember details and also more times than not he or she will not even show up for the case.
As you see, getting a speeding ticket is no fun and should be avoided as much as possible. The best advice out there is to not speed, or by yourself a really nice and expensive radar detector, but even then you always run a risk of being pulled over. I hope this information has helped, or will help you get out of your next traffic ticket.
