The frustrating obstacle to finding red hot products to sell online for many beginners is finding the resources and tools for locating these products. Some people act like it is a closely guarded secret. Others wouldn't tell you how to locate these hot niches even if their Mothers lives depended on it.
The secret to becoming successful on the Internet is finding a product that is both high in demand and one that generates traffic. Actually, the commission payout is the last thing you should worry about. You can still make a lot of money with a low commission rate if you're moving a lot of product. I'm about to show you how to find those hot products that have a lot of people looking to buy it.
To start your research, make a list of things that you're interested in. What you're searching for is something that you're passionate about. Or a product or service you've used and know something about. You can't sell something unless you're knowledgeable and believe in it.
Start your research by visiting Yahoo and Google and using their traffic research tools. I use Google Trends to find the Hot Trends and look back months, if not years, to see how many people have been searching for this particular product or service that I'm thinking about selling.
I really love using Google Trends. I've probably found more hot niches using Google Trends than any other tool that I've used over the years. Look for the line on the graph to be steady over time or slightly rise. You may notice that some products are seasonal, having up and down lines that occur about the same time each year. There's nothing wrong with this, but you need to be aware that you're looking at a season product.
Next, head over to Yahoo and use the section called The Buzz. This is a section that shows the most searched for terms of the week. You can then look at the archives to see what past search terms were hot. If you continue to see one search term show up in the list time and time again (like iPods or Britney Spears), then you know it's a hot product.
Experienced affiliate marketers will visit ebay in their search for a hot selling product. Go to Ebay Pulse to find the products that are the most searched for on Ebay. You can even drill down through the categories to find which product is the hot seller in your niche. Once you have several ideas, take them back to Google and Yahoo and run them through their paces.
With a little practice, you'll soon find that locating those hot niches is not that hard. What is hard is getting enough time to promote your products and services! It just seems there's not enough hours in a day when you're wanting to tell the World about your hot product.
