Shampoos For Hair Loss
Krishan Bakhru
To counteract the build up of protein you should wash your hair and scalp regularly, using a mild shampoo so as not to irritate your scalp. The thing though that most of us don’t do is to rinse our hair out thoroughly. If, after a period of time you consistently don’t rinse away all traces of shampoo, a residue will be left behind. It’s this residue that can build up and prevent the penetration of new hair growth.
If you do suffer from hair loss or thinning hair, then the shampoo hair loss products may work as a solution for you. Most of these products, as well as helping to keep the scalp clean in the same way as a regular shampoo (providing you rinse away the residue), also contain a number of ingredients. These could either be drugs or vitamins.
Protein is a common vitamin contained in hair loss shampoos. The main component of our hair is protein and without adequate protein, your hair will be brittle and unhealthy. By upping the amount of protein that reaches the hair shaft, it can be absorbed directly into the hair so making it stronger and healthier. In clinical tests, protein has also been found to swell the hair shaft so making your hair thicker than what you are used to.
But there is a downside. The effects that these products have on your hair only tend to be temporary. Soon after you have discontinued using them, your hair will, more than likely, return to it’s previous state. Though as long as you are prepared for this, it is not a big problem.
There are a wide variety of both conditioner and shampoo hair loss products available, so if you want to try one, it’s really a question of a little experimentation to find the correct shampoo hair loss treatment to suit you. In other words, it’s no different than finding a regular shampoo and conditioner.
