Silk Fabric By The Yard
Robert Goldsmith
Flowers are a wonderful part of almost any event, but their short lives make them poor mementos. Nowadays people are not worried about that fact. Artificial flowers have made it possible and they are on hand to fulfil people's dreams. According to historians, their popularity reached its zenith in the Victorian era, when they decorated parlours and inspired World Fair displays. There are a number of popular artificial flowers, now to be had in the market. For example, paper flowers, silk flowers, flowers with strings of lights, flowers made from cloth, foam, the list is endless!
At the present time, silk flowers have become a real option for many people. They have progressed more and now have a fresh and realistic look. In fact, what is referred today to as silk flowers, are not made with real silk but are the blends of complex chemical composites like polyurethane, latex, more advanced polymers and synthetic or natural fabrics. These flowers are shaped from sculpted moulds of high precision forming abilities. With amazing elasticity of stems, foliage and buds they are more similar to the bending flexibility of real flowers. Similar are the artificial flowers with strings of lights! Their speciality is that people can put these flowers into a string of lights and will change to other designs whenever they need.
Trading with a great variety of artificial flowers, made from cloth, foam, paper has produced a great increase to the flower merchants in recent days. These flowers are made with paper, cloth and foam. Being smaller in size, approximately 10-20 cm, they are used for many occasions such as decoration on dresses, hairclips, and broach. Other such popular flowers are the Tissue flowers which are made with natural fibres based upon cellulose. Similarly, Artificial fabric flowers are made by artificial or natural yarn which provides the natural flexibility to the flower made. With these popular artificial flowers now in the market, people can even make their home to look like a garden!
