Symptoms Of Liver Failure
Mr. Pom
There are a number of medical diagnoses a patient never wants to hear. The bulk of these diagnoses deal with the potential for a fatality. Such news will provide a sober reminder to people that they are human and vulnerable to the limitations of their human host body. While hearing the news that they may be dying is difficult enough, the aggravation of the news will be compounded if it is discovered that the condition could have been avoided. In some cases, the individual must take responsibility for their actions. Such is the case when lifestyle choices are to blame for medical problems. Then, there are those regrettable instances where the individual's condition is no fault of their own. One such example would be the terrible situation people are facing from taking the antibiotic Ketek.
Ketek is a very dangerous drug that currently sports a back box label. That is, the drug's label notifies those who are taking this prescription that there are a number of dangerous side effects associated with the drug. Unfortunately, many people had taken the antibiotic prior to any warning labels being published. Because of this they have been exposed to a seriously flawed prescription that may have placed their very lives in jeopardy.
If you have suffered serious adverse effects from taking the prescription drug Ketek then the impact these adverse side effects could prove life altering. Now, some may assume that this is an overstatement. In reality, it may very well be understated depending upon the severity the ravages the drug may have on a person's body. For example, if the liver is damaged to such a degree that a liver transplant is necessitated the gravity of the situation can never be overstated.
The reason that a liver transplant is needed is because the patient's liver will be reaching a level where it will no longer function. The liver is a vital organ and if liver failure is imminent then so is death. When the liver ceases the ability to function then the patient will die. This is why Ketek has become a pariah in pharmaceutical circles: the drug has been responsible for a number of premature deaths. Thankfully, many who have suffered liver failure after taking the drug have survived and are currently fighting the ravages the drug has caused. There is, however, no reason for these patients to bear the full financial responsibility for their medical care since it was manufacturer negligence that led to the onset of liver damage.
Thankfully, many physicians require liver monitoring in order to detect any potential problems with taking the drugs. But for some patients the inclusion of monitoring is too little, too late. For those patients, it might be wise to consult with an attorney in order to take legal action against the manufacturer for its extreme gross negligence.
