Sports Wear For Women
Sportsgalore
Basketball clothing has changed a lot from when it was first discovered in 1891, during the 1930's basketball players wore very short shorts and their uniforms were made out of very shinny material-nothing like the authentic NBA jerseys readily available nowadays. It's no wonder that this drastic change had to occur-imagine the players running around the court, dribbling, and dunking wearing those uncomfortable tight shorts! It obviously was a great inconvenience and uncomfortable material to wear, not mentioning how hilarious those 6-7ft tall players looked showing off their legs to the public! Forty years later, in the early 70's the tube socks with a colored stripe on the top became fashionable and the court became bright with the players different colored socks. In the 1990's, basketball wear took another turn, the jerseys became large and shorts baggy probably due to the fashion influence during that time. This is how even authentic jerseys have stayed and the only thing that has changed are the ankle socks which are now the norm.
Ancient Greek boxing was played without any special gear and unlike today, players didn't have the protection of MMA gloves. Becoming more safety conscious, head gear and gloves became part of the boxers gear. Though there aren't any strict guidelines as to their outfits, men commonly wear trunks or shorts and women tights and a t-shirt. In Amateur boxing, players are required to wear protective headgear and gloves with a white strip across the knuckle and a punch is only considered a scoring point only when the boxers connect with this white portion.
Golfers are probably the most liberated when it comes to their gear. They don't have to wear the sleeveless, colorful NBA jerseys neither do they need to wear protective clothing like MMA gloves. When people go golfing, they usually wear khakis and polo shirts, and a hat obviously since golf courses are completely exposed to the heat of the sun. Golf shoes are a common requirement in many golf courses and aren't just to make a fashion statement like many might assume, these shoes are specially designed to help players keep their feet planted allowing them to take advantage of leg strength during a swing and preventing slips and falls. The entire efficiency of the player may depend on their choice of shoes-just not any kind of sneakers will do.
Doubtlessly, man's wisdom and ingenuity has caused the evolution and increased practicality of sportswear and gear, allowing players to be more comfortable and ensuring their safety. As mankind continues to advance, will we be seeing NBA jerseys with encrypted digital numbers on the backs or shock absorbent MMA gloves in the near future? No need to fantasize-the future comes soon enough.
