The Kingdom Of Heaven
Connie Limon
The disciples asked Jesus who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Jesus called a little child to come to him and set the child in the middle of them. Jesus said anyone who wants to enter into the kingdom of heaven must become converted and become as a little child. Whoever humbles himself or herself as the little child he had set in the midst of them, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. In addition, whoever receives a person humbled as a little child in the name of Jesus receives Jesus also.
However, if anyone offends just one of the little ones that believe in Jesus, it would be better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck and tossed into the depth of the sea to drown. It is a terrible thing to offend one of the little ones who believe in Jesus. There is a deep sorrow or ?woe? put upon the world because of these types of offenses. Offenses will always be unavoidable, and to whoever the man or woman is that brings an offense against these little ones that believe in Jesus, there will be a deep sorrow or ?woe? put upon them.
Jesus warns strictly for people to not despise the little ones that believe upon him, because they have angels in heaven watching over them, and the face of the Father which is in heaven is always looking toward these little ones.
What Jesus is referring to here is that the men and women who believe upon him and experience a conversion have become as little children. Once a person passes from darkness into the light, they are a new creature in Christ, and that new creature is very similar to an innocent, humble little child.
Jesus says except men and women become as the little child, and remain this way, they will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. It is possible to experience a conversion and become as a little child, then later when the trials and temptations come along, that person begins to fight his own battles again, and will lose this ?little child? affect.
If you will notice how very small children are, they see everything as a joyous learning experience. They never hold grudges and when upset by something, they usually recover within minutes never to remember that instance against you again. This is how Jesus demands his elect to be.
I have truly felt the anger of Jesus and the Father in heaven when others have ?offended? me. I am one of those little children who have and who continue to believe in Jesus. I have experienced this personally, and God does fight battles for those who allow him to do so. Revenge belongs to the Lord. He will repay those who offend his little children. As a child of God, we must continue keeping his commandments, stay humble at his feet, begging for his mercy about our problems, grievances with others and all our cares.
In due time, the Lord does come, and he can work things out for you in ways you never thought of, and in ways that can be shocking to those around you, which glorifies the father in heaven.
It is important to remember that God has to receive the Glory and the Praise from whatever he does for you. We are always to count ourselves just as unprofitable servants, never to get the big head just because God fights and wins a battle. You didn't do it. God did it, so don't gloat about it. God does not like vain glory seekers or people who toot their horns of how great and powerful they are.
He does want us to testify of what he has done for us and to let others know it truly was done at the hand of the Lord and not through our own hand. In this, he is able to convince others to follow him as well. God likes to work through people like dominoes. You affect the first domino with a little push, and then all other dominoes in the line-up are affected. When one person in the crowd is anointed and God does a great deed for them, it is possible for all those around that person to say ?wow? God is real, I think I will follow after God rather than this way or that way.
I will never forget the first job I loved so very much and was so happy just to be a part; however, these others were of that wicked one. As long as I fought them with the same evil and wickedness they showed me, I lost some and won some.
When evil fights against evil, only the greater of the two evils will win. Sometimes I was the stronger, other times they were the stronger. And I say they because eventually I was just plain outnumbered. My enemies became many in this place.
I made contact with Jesus, who began to fight these battles for me. As a little child nestled in his bosom, I watched all my enemies walk out the door. I was left standing alone in this office. The entire office with all the typewriters, desks, chairs and everything was given to me so to speak. When I experienced conversion and became as one of those little children who believed upon Jesus, my weapons of war changed from hate, envy, strife, competition, jealousies, back biting, and on and on to love, longsuffering, patience, endurance, and for every evil work they did to me, I returned it with something good. So that ?good? was my greatest weapon during the battle after Jesus came to live within my heart.
When the curtain was pulled and all acts were over, some stood by and said, ?Have you ever heard of a man called, Jesus? These people knew something very unique and extra powerful had moved in their presence. Of course there were people there also like the scribes and the Pharisees, always looking for fault and very skeptical, who said, ?this is a very sick place to be.?
In later articles, I may be moved upon to expand greater upon this powerful weapon I call ?good.? When used under the anointing of God the Father in heaven, it can literally move mountains to the position you point to! You must be that little child, however, and you must never use an unrighteous weapon during the battle.
