The Game Of Car
Joy Smit
Experts advise people who are contemplating into getting into the game of parasailing to make sure that they are physically and emotionally stable so they can really enjoy the game. You might be asking, 'Why should it be, when parasailing seems like a very easy activity?'
Well, it may look very easy, but the game of parasailing is no piece of cake. It will initially require you to be at least physically fit before you get into the game. That is because there are movements when up in the air that would require you to have the needed agility and strength.
A great control of emotions is also needed because the experience can be overwhelming or scary, especially if it is your first time. If you aren't emotionally stable, you might react differently to the thrill, fear and excitement, which in turn, would compromise your overall safety.
Parasailing isn't a formal game, but is considered a sport where a parasail or a canopy is attached into a motorboat or a four-wheel drive. Then the vehicle would move speedily, until the person, together with the canopy is dragged. It takes four quick steps before the canopy sprouts into the air and carry along with it the person, who is attached with a harness.
Thus, the person would literally be flying. You get as high as 200 feet up in the air. You could also control your direction by pulling on the right or left rear risers, which are provided with the canopy. Thus, you are practically flying a small plane.
Parasailing was developed in the United Kingdom in the late 1960s. During that time, the defense army was testing parachutes. Then, it appeared that the activity could be a fun one, so through the years, parasailing became popular across the world.
As an extreme outdoor sporting event, parasailing is different in that, it doesn't require training. In parasailing, all you have to do is to collect your guts, go on and fly. You will figure out what to do and how to control your flight when you get there, for sure.
Indeed, parasailing is a game like no other. Enjoy it, but be extremely careful. Enjoy!
