In an interview, Beyoncé revealed where she got the inspiration of the house of dereon. She said that the house of dereon was inspired from three generation of clothing line, the generation of her mother Tina Knowles and the generation of her grandmother Agnez Dereon.

It is also reported hat Beyoncé has an active role in the house of design department, approving and discussing fashion designs and ideas.
