After the war, people returned to Paris and to the other fashion superpowers of London and Milan for the new fashion shows that started to emerge. At this point in time, these four cites controlled the fashion world, and continue to control it today. The one major criticism of the fashion shows in the four capitals is that talented designers from emerging fashion shows in places like Los Angeles or S Paulo do not get the same recognition as the designers that show in the four fashion show capitals of Paris, London, Milan or New York. So, although they may possess great talent for fashion shows, the opportunities for them to showcase this are hard to come by.
