One's epicene relates to one's maleness and femaleness. One's gender identification refers to the anticipation one has of being manlike, female, both, or neither, and makes no reference to one's sexual orientation. It also does not relate to one's external peculiarities and style of behaving that society defines as masculine and feminine. This is commonly termed gender role and encompasses things like the fashion folk dress, talk, and comb their hair. Surrounding themselves with humans who do not follow the social stigma may make life much happier for transsexuals.

Once unrecognised, the cross dresser movement has gained quite a multitude momentum in the good old days thirty years with myriads of its members becoming keen campaigners for their rights and recognition. This campaigning has led to the banning of discrimination against humans for cross-dressing in scarcely any states of America, as well as the amendment of hate laws to cover epicene character issues.
