They are often slightly uncomfortable at first, but should not actually hurt when you wear them. The best way to wear in a pair of boots is to wear them around the house and on short errands. You should not break them in solely while riding, because it will greatly increase the amount of time it will take to break them in.

You can use some effective leather treatment on your boots. It will fasten your shoe's breaking in process and soften them and they will remain supple too. You need to buy some good quality socks also to compliment your boots. This will prevent your foot from developing any raw spots and blisters. Wear thick socks when you are breaking in a new pair of shoes. This will help prevent blisters. Don't try to save money on the socks. They need to be well made and they may cost a little more than regular socks. A sporting goods store is a good place to shop for them. Get a pair designed to wear with boots. You should really purchase two or three pairs but if that is too expensive start with at least one. If you should get a blister anyway, be sure to bandage it well. Do not open it first.

When you are all done breaking in your motorcycle boots, they will be nothing but a joy. Besides the support and protection they'll give your feet, they'll fill you with energy and a feeling of power to take on any road. Take good care of them, with proper cleaning and maintenance, and they'll keep looking as good as they feel. You'll probably be repairing them before you think about buying your next pair. When they really do become too old, get new ones and break them in gradually for an easy transition.
