Now, most people rent movies often. In many cases we all wait to rent the box office hits, in preference to going to the movies. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) returns to action, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones movies. In this movie Mr. Jones is pitted against post war Soviets. The Soviets are looking for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Former criminal Ben Garvey has changed his life for the better. With a stable home, and a job that pays the bills, he seems to have found a better life. Then, he gets fired from his job, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. His criminal rebirth is a complete bust, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. Death by lethal injection awaits. Instead, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a mental hospital. He now is in a battle for his sanity, and his spritual well being.

LINEWATCH: Mr. Michael Dixon is a well seasoned boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are about to rear it's ugly head. A long time ago, he was in a viscious L.A. gang, which he eventually left. When a bad twist of fate shows where he lives to a member of his old gang, he and his family are in a potentially deadly situation. He nust put it all on the line, and work with the gang to get a huge illegal drug delivery from Mexico into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film is about Scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the green Hulk. The film is a story about the comic legend, the Hulk. Actors Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, Liv Tyler play key roles in this film. The director is Louis Leterrier. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.

DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry (ewan mcgregor) has a chance encounter with corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that changes his life forever. He learns about "The List", which provides access to a secret world of sexual pleasures. But, he is also led into a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, a science professor explores caves in Iceland that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a newer edition of the 1959 production, that was created from the classic work by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.

THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), and many others are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. Their city has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by some unknown malady, and are killing themselves. Can we find an answer, or is this the last stand of man?

IRON MAN: Weapons developer, business mogal, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is kidnapped by Afghan rebels. He is ordered to build missiles for the insurgent group. He suffered a bad injury when his convoy was attacked, and has shrapnel stuck in his chest. To survive his injuries, and escape this predicament, he designs a suit of armor, which makes him virtually invincible. Iron Man, a new super hero has arrived.

SPEED RACER: A comic, turned TV anime, is now a movie hit. Just like The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that his older brother lost his live in. Against the odds, and the future of the family business at risk, he joins forces with his enemy of the past, Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, and rescue the family racing business.
