Fans could go to iTunes and download the entire season for less than $30.00, which was much cheaper than the retail price of previous sets of the shows seasons, which was $59.98. People who had been hoping for the Niptuck season 5 on DVD, however, were not happy. Many people have the first four seasons on DVD, and without the 5th season, their collections were not complete. Many other people had stated that they do not watch TV on their computers, which is why they own a television.

Niptuck season 5 on DVD will be released as a 5 disc set, and will be set at a retail price of $59.98. All fourteen of the seasons episodes will be included in the set, as well as many extras. Some of the extras that may appear on the Niptuck season 5 on DVD set that have been added to previous sets are gag reels, deleted scenes, behind the scenes featurettes, and interviews with the cast and crew.
