Network marketing has never been an easy business. For the most part, one has to work hard and long, selling products and recruiting people for weeks and months before one has any chance of earning a substantial salary. In other words, a network marketing business can often be just as tough to operate as other types of businesses.
It is true that some people make a ton of money in network marketing. Most often, however, these are people who have an excess of energy, wildly optimistic, and almost pathologically extroverted people. Most people obviously do not fall into this class, which explains why many do not reach the network marketing goals that they set for themselves.
There's something very unpalatable about doing everything yourself when it comes to a sale pitch ? especially so when you are applying it to family and friends. The truth is, you probably do not want to pressure the people closest to you to support you, but you also want them to get involved in what you do as well. Equally difficult to do is "cold calling," when you simply strike up a sales pitch with just about anyone who will listen, even complete strangers. Some people can do all these things, but the vast majority of network marketers find it difficult to do so.

Fortunately for many of us, an alternative exists to the hard work of bricks-and-mortar network marketing: online network marketing. In the intensely impersonal atmosphere of the internet, it becomes possible to avoid some of the social problems that often come with the network marketing turf.
One of the great advantages of online network marketing is that you suddenly have the ability to multiply yourself, instantly. Whereas in the real world you are limited to making a few sales or getting a few recruits a day, over the internet, your potential is practically limitless. With a global audience at your fingertips, you are more than certain to attract people whom you will find it easy to work with.
In online network marketing, the hardest thing you will probably have to do is set up a website with autoresponder. The website will contain all the information that you usually include in a presentation, which means that you won't have to do any personal meetings yourself, if you chose to. You can choose to spend your time and energy with the clients whom you think are better prospects, instead of every Tom, Dick, and Harry that comes around. The autoresponder, on the other hand, will make sure that you won't have to spend unnecessary time answering routine correspondence, again freeing up your time for more productive activities.
