GMAC or General Motor Acceptance Corporation Insurance began offering mileage-based discounts to Onstar subscribers located in some states, in the middle of 2004. To verify mileage, the Onstar system reports a vehicle's odometer readings at the beginning and end of the policy term. Motorists who drive less than the specified annual mileage car receive insurance premium discounts of up to 40%. PAYD program are now available in Israel, South Africa and Holland.
