Since the dawn of time females (and many males) have attempted to ward away the inevitable effects of growing old. Through the ages almost every substance known to man from manure to acid has been spread on the face to try to reverse wrinkle formation.
The vast majority of these so called treatments did little to prevent wrinkles. In reality, many of these potions caused allergic reactions and sometimes even led to death. However, as human medicinal and chemical knowledge has improved, anti-wrinkle creams have become more effective at treating wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Despite scientific progress, no discovered substance can totally reverse the signs of aging on skin, so wrinkles will still appear. Modern treatments can only mask the wrinkles for a short period of time to make the product user appear younger.
Most of todayas creams do their job and make the user appear a little younger in one of two ways. They either remove dead skin to let living skin shine through, or they make skin appear fuller to hide the wrinkles.
Many modern concoctions mix both types of creams into one product. Prices range wildly from no more expensive then standard hand cream to well over $1000 per once. While Much study has been done at this point no evidence exists that these expensive products have any additional benefit.
The largest inconvenience that users encounter when using anti-aging products is that the product does not work forever and wrinkles will most likely return if the product is no longer used. Due to this, costs for anti-wrinkle products can add up.
Anti-aging lotions on the market may suddenly improve if and when new concoctions that pharmaceutical companies are investing cash in to develop reach consumers. Some studies show that the new ingredients are remarkably effective at stopping aging in its tracks.
As long as people continue to age we all wish for a personal fountain of youth. Soon with luck, and allot of good science there may exist
