Soaps.com reported that former Beverly Hills actor Daniel Cosgrove is set to return to the Emmy Award-winning soap opera as Bill Lewis. No official word yet on when and how long he will be appearing on the show, however, rumors have it that the 36-year-old actor will reprise his role in October.
In 2005, Cosgrove left Guiding Light, consequently signing onto appear in ABC's primetime series, In Justice. He will also be appearing as Freddy in the upcoming drama, Dirty Sexy Money, which stars Donald Sutherland (Commander in Chief) and Peter Krause (Six Feet Under). His other notable credits include All My Children and Mattie Fresno and the Holoflux Universe.
Also reappearing on Guiding Light is David Andrew MacDonald, who first appeared in 1999 as the villainous Edmund Winslow. After his departure from the show in 2005, his character was said to have been imprisoned. Again, no official word on the date and duration of his return to the daytime drama.
Darnell Williams, who recently departed from the daytime drama, will be coming back to play Griggs, a dangerous man who used to work with AC Mallet (Robert Bogue), on August 21. Soaps.com reports that Williams' character may be the cause of some controversy and a whole lot of questions upon his arrival.
For the new faces on the daytime drama, Vanessa Simmons from the MTV reality series, Run's House, is set to play Lola, a young woman who is drawn to Remy Boudreau (Lawrence Saint-Victor). The 23-year-old Simmons is the oldest daughter of hip-hop legend and rapper Reverend Run, and has previously worked for the Ford Agency. Her appearances on Guiding Light begin on August 21.
