Organic Coffee And Tea
Sarmaad Amin
It is hard to really know if coffee or tea are good or bad for you. The messages about this continue to be very conflicting. Some reports will tell you that coffee helps your overall health and individuals with gout should drink it daily. Others tell you that the caffeine isn't good for you. The same is true with tea – green tea is good for you due to the antioxidants but what about the rest of the types?
When it comes to the decision to drink coffee or tea it is a personal decision. It is one that people will have plenty of choices with as well. You should explore the choices that you have though so that you can make a good decision. One aspect of buying coffee or tea is that you can find some great tasting organically grown blends.
More retailers out there are offering organic coffee or tea that you can brew at home. Some coffee shops also offer that so make sure you check around to discover what your options are. There seems to be more of them offered these days than in the past. You may be asking yourself what the difference is between organically grown coffee and tea or that which is conventionally grown.
Take the time to carefully read labels when you buy organic coffee or tea. You want those that have a seal of certification on them from the USDA. This means that they are at least 95% organic. You want to make sure that tea bags are also made from biodegradable materials so that you are doing one more good thing for the environment. As you sip your coffee or tea you can feel good that it is environmentally friendly and that it tastes delicious.
What you can also feel good about when you consume organic coffee or tea is that you are helping the environment. The way in which it is grown means that no chemicals are used. Soil and water conservation is in place which means less water is used and no chemicals get into what is washed away into rivers and streams. It also means that the soil isn't depleted of the valuable nutrients that are essential for future crops to successfully grow there.
On organic forms where these items are made, various types of birds are able to safely habitat there temporarily as they migrate. The beans are slowly grown and not pushed to be done sooner as they are with conventional methods. For compost, tea leaves and coffee grounds are often used. They work very well when it comes to helping the soil stay full of the nutrients that it needs.
You may also be wondering about the taste. Many people find that organically grown coffee and tea has a smoother taste to it. Others can't tell much of a difference so it comes down to a personal preference. There are quite a few styles of organic coffee and tea offered just like there is with conventional methods. Therefore you will have to taste different ones in order to find what you really enjoy the most.
The cost for organically grown coffee or tea is more than with other types but what you will get is a drink that is made without any chemicals. If you consume large amounts of these drinks then that can make a huge difference for your overall health. The fact that stronger herbicides and pesticides are used all the time due to insects, animals, and weeds building up a tolerance means that people are consuming more of these in the form of remaining residue than they realize.
