Step 1: Calorie count. Since exercises take a lot of time, dieting is the fastest way to lose your love handles. By eating a healthy diet, and cutting on the calorie intake, your tummy fat are sure to disappear within weeks. If you think that dieting means eating less frequently, you're wrong. A tip: eating smaller meals composed of the right foods entitles you to indulging for at five times a day at most. Remember to drink of plenty of water and fiber-rich food.
Make sure you will be able to keep up with the diet you choose, and that it doesn't limit you in living and enjoying your life. Take caution in jumping aboard with the newest fad diets because some might lead to illness, and worse, disappointment.
Step 2: Exercise. If you are really serious in getting rid of love handles, you must endure the pain and effort in performing exercises. Embarking in crunches and side bends immediately will not help you because you just increase the muscle size without losing the fat, thereby resulting in perhaps a bigger tummy. Instead start with an intense cardio workout. Try the treadmill or the stationary bike. If you can't afford to go to a gym, simple exercises such as jogging and swimming will work wonders. Daily activities such as ditching the elevator for the stairs, or playing soccer with your children can pass up as good exercises as well.
Step 3: Motivation. The last step in losing love handles has to come from you. Do you really want it? Are you willing to endure it? Commitment is the key, because adhering to a healthy diet and religiously following an exercise regimen entail a lot of sacrifice. You need to nix your favorite foods, and you have to sweat in for at least an hour, two to three times a week.
Setting goals is an important factor as well. Make a diary, jot down your aspirations and objectives and what you have to do to achieve them.
You can also ask for unsolicited advice from anybody who has been successful in getting rid of love handles. Seeing somebody fit because of his own personal motivation can help you in your drive to bust the belly fat!
