Grinding for Gold

Grinding for gold could probably be the fastest way to earn a lot of gold in a short amount of time. It may be very difficult, but you could find locations and use techniques that can bolster you up to 50 gold pieces per hour, making this time well spent. Many players spend a little time grinding during their quest. There's an extra benefit in grinding in the long run, since you also get to increase experience points.

For those who are serious in grinding, there may be a few places that you may want to concentrate on. More possibilities for higher amounts of gold earned in an hour may be seen in the higher levels. However, easy income can be made by grinding mobs and flipping the items that they drop. This will be discussed further later in this guide.

Getting past level 50, opportunities just spring up for quality grinding. Winterspring, a region full of mobs, would earn you 50 gold pieces an hour, so make sure you spend a long time here. The best places to start grinding is at the Winterfall Village.

There are a lot of furbolgs here, and they are relatively easy to kill while having a high drop rate. As a bonus, you can earn your Timbermaw here.

Other great opportunities for grinding can also be found in The Yeti's in the Everlook Forest. It is relatively easy to overcome this section on your own, plus, they don't do much damage. Frostsabers are also easy targets. You may want to look for them as well. You will be provided with more experience in the Eastern Plaguelands once you go past level 80.It is also quite easy to find mobs for grinding there.

Another easy target is the Mossflayer Zombie which can easily earn you about 50 gold pieces within an hour. You just need to have patience, and the right techniques to go with it.

Professions that Earn Gold

This method of getting more gold may take a little longer than grinding, but it is a whole lot more interesting. Eventhough all professions earn you gold, the most profitable ones are skinning, leatherworking, and blacksmithing. Secondary professions like fishing can also earn you gold, but you'll need the primary skill of cooking before you can make real money off it.

Alchemy could also be a very good profession, but you might be required to spend longer periods of time gathering and purchasing the important items. For starters, it is recommended that you skin or blacksmith. These skills complement flipping, which we would discuss next.

Increasing your skills can effectively help you earn more gold with your profession. However, this can distract you from questing, so you must know how to balance your time. Getting a skill level of over 300 is pretty good. However, it will definitely require a lot of patience. If you do this, the value of your items will be higher and you may get more profit in the process.
