As a guitar beginner, you have to start your guitar lesson from the basic guitar chord theory first. You can proceed to more advanced chords once you have handled the entire basic one. The music and guitar chord theory related books are the best resources for you to learn the basis of guitar playing easily.
There are lots of basic guitar chords covered in the chord theory. It is very easy for you to switch chord to chord if you master the basic theory well enough. These chords cover A, G, D, and C and are called open chords. These are a mixture of major and minor chords that are considered basic chords. These basic chords include C, D Major, D Minor, E, E Minor, G, F, A, and A Minor.
There are several chord families. These chord families make it easier to learn and practice the basic chords. Chord family A includes: A, D, and E. Chord family D includes: D, Em, G, and A. Chord family G includes: G, Am, C, D, and Em. Chord family C includes: C, Dm, Em, F, and G.
If you attempt to memorize one chord family at a time, it will be much easier to learn guitar. Learning one type of chord at a time will allow you to fully focus on them and master them well. It will also give your confidence a boost because you will be tackling something.
Make sure your fingers are placing at the right position while changing chords. There are chord charts available that will show you where to place what fingers to make certain chords.
When you are practicing guitar it is easier to learn when playing songs. Make sure you look for songs that are easy to play and incorporate the chord family you are working on.
Make sure your equipment is in top shape. Guitar strings will wear down. Tune your guitar strings or even change your strings to make your guitar sound better.
Practice, practice, and more practice is what are going to pull you to the top. There is absolutely no substitute for practicing.
Get the basics down first. Make sure you understand and can play all of the basic chords before you start getting into advanced territory. Furthermore, you have to practice the guitar chords consistently.
Learn some chord theory. You have to learn the foundation of the guitar chords first. Guitar chord theory is the most crucial lesson for all the great guitarists. If you understand how chords go together, you can start making up your own music. This keeps learning guitar fun. Remember, most hit songs are comprised of basic chords.
