Planning a holiday to the Highlands of Scotland absolutely must include at least one nights stay in a Bed and Breakfast. Luxury hotels may offer a wider selection of amenities, but are guaranteed not to have the charm and personality of a quaint B&B. But what sets B&B's apart is the charm imparted by their owner. Having your own personal guide to area attractions is fantastic. They can often tell you about things to see and do that guide books and websites will have completely overlooked. Having a relaxing bit of evening conversation, with your favourite coffee, tea, or a wee dram, and enjoying the hospitality adds to the experience of your stay.

You will get all your questions answered, plus a feel for the personality of the B&B owner. If it doesn't seem like a good fit, then don't book it!
