There are mild soaps available in the market to wash the pearls in order to remove the dirt from them. Avoid using solutions especially ammonia contents to wash the pearls. Do not use harsh detergents. It is advisable not to use an ultrasonic cleaner. It is not good to rub the pearl with thick cloth. If you do so, the nacre coating ? the coating that gives the shining to the pearls may diminish.
