Years ago people came to work with me because they wanted to transform their heartaches and struggles into more positive outcomes. In the last five years the primary focus that motivates any of us to reach out for support has dramatically shifted. The dominant stresses are not as obvious as they once were.

Yes, relationship, health and money challenges still inspire us toward change. But underneath these conditions there are two primary challenges that are far more prevalent and devastating when they are not addressed head on.

The first is our ability to love ourselves without condition. Unconditional self-love is the essential fountain from which our personal fulfillment flows. If the tap to self-love is turned down or off we have a hard time feeling happy and joyful.

Real self-love is a skill many try to bypass in their desire to "get ahead" with their achievements. The paradox is that we need self-love to really make it. One of the biggest blocks to fulfillment and success is that we are really, really hard on ourselves. Did I say really hard? I meant it.

The second is that most of us came here with a purpose and a deep soul intention. Focusing on the fulfillment of our life purpose sets us on a path that transforms us. If we are not finding ways to give our unique gifts we often feel restless and unsettled. We might have all of the external goodies and still feel that something important is missing.

If you are on track with the giving of your gifts I celebrate you. I know the courage and stamina required to give and keep giving from those deep places in our hearts where our soul songs live. If you are struggling to give your gifts please let others support and inspire you.

Surround yourself with people who are reaching for excellence in their lives. None of us needs to do it all alone. I know I cannot and I am so very grateful for those who hold my hand as I continue to birth my gifts into the world. They know who they are and I thank them today, tomorrow and forever for the love and encouragement they extend to me on my path.
