Cheapskates Club opened its doors today in New Zealand. Determined to offer the same great tips and ideas on how to save money, Cheapskates Queen Cath Armstrong will be doing a series of radio, TV and newspapers stories to help struggling families to better budget their resources and find ways to save money on everyday household items.
When asked why NZ, Cath had one simple comment. “I love New Zealand and I want to help families to win the debt battle and enjoy a better lifestyle".
“I have had requests for years to open a Cheapskates Club. Aussies and Kiwis are very similar in many ways – we love a good deal, enjoy buying things at bargain prices and like to save our money, be debt free and cherish our family life'.
Cath, who has been in high demand following the launch of the best selling book “Debt Free Cashed Up and Laughing", will begin a series of media designed to get her message to her fellow New Zealanders that you can have a great lifestyle by becoming a Cheapskate.
The Cheapskate Club boasts thousands of tips and hints designed to help every family save some money. As she say maybe you don't like making your own laundry powder and saving $60 a year on washing powder but you might like reducing your electricity bill by 20% and saving $300 per year or cutting your fuel costs by as much as 30%.
“We have specifically designed the Cheapskates Club so that we can give you help in the areas that you are most interested in saving money. Once you have those ideas in place and are saving money, you might just catch the bug and want to save some money in other areas of your family budget". Said Cath.
A quick glance at the Cheapskates Club members area and I could see 3 simple ways to shave about $500 of our household expense without altering our lifestyle. In fact, we could put that savings towards our next holiday.
“Get the whole family involved in saving the money and then use the savings to do something fun together", suggested Cath. “Cheapskates are people that don't want to waste money. We are not misers , we have a great lifestyle choosing to spend and use our money wisely to make it go a whole lot further".
The Cheapskates Club has a section of useful free information as well as an options Cheapskates Club area which costs less than $30 a year to join – or as they say 10 cents per day! As high interest rates, fuel prices and grocery bills continue to hurt average New Zealanders, this might be the place for us all to head for some timely advise and help to balance our budgets.
